About the Italian
Chamber of Commerce in Canada
At the heart of the international
business world since 1964.
The mission of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada (ICCC)
is to reinforce economic links between Italy and Canada,
with a particular focus on Quebec. It fosters the development
of business relationships between the principal economic
players, both public and private, by providing productive
leadership. The Chamber has evolved in tandem with numerous
partners in Italy, Canada and Quebec, and offers a full range
of services that contribute to the success of international
marketing projects.
The ICCC, a private not-for-profit organization, supports
bilateral economic initiatives by playing a frontline role
vis-à-vis key decision-makers. Its network – extending
across two continents – works to build strategic alliances
and enables organizations and enterprises to capitalize on
the business opportunities available in international markets.
Its action is particularly beneficial to SME’s trying
to break into overseas markets.
Over the years, the Chamber has acquired much expertise in
the innovation sectors, including aviation, biotechnology,
telecommunications, genomics, nanotechnology and the chemicals
industry. It also dedicates itself to promoting the more traditional
sectors, which remain economic pillars both in Italy, Quebec
and Canada.
A bilateral body, the ICCC plays an important role in the
business strategy of Italy’s Ministry of International
Trade and Quebec’s Ministry of Economic Development,
Innovation and Export Trade. It enjoys considerable credibility
internationally and its effectiveness is recognized among the
world’s key economic players. Its dynamism makes it one
of the most active chambers of commerce in Italy within the
Assocamerestero (grouping of Italian overseas chambers of commerce).
As well as its central bureau in Montreal, the ICCC has offices
in Quebec City, Milan and Naples.
